Level 3 award in Preparing to teach in the life long learning Sectors (PTLLS)
This is a new advanced level qualification, designed for individuals who wish to update or enhance their trainers qualification, or those who wish to achieve minimum threshold stratus as a teacher in lifelong learning. From 2010 anyone wishing to teach courses which are publically funded will have to be qualified.
If you already hold a Professional Trainers certificate this course can be delivered in two-days otherwise it will be a five-day course.

- Roles and Responsibilities of Trainers
- Learning styles and preferences
- Teaching planning skills
- Teaching styles and communication
- Teaching assessment
Candidates are assessed on planning and delivery of a short training session and two written assignments based around planning and delivery and review of training sessions.
